906th Air Refueling Squadron Outstanding Airmen of the Year

In accordance with Air Force Instruction 36-2805, Special Trophies and Awards, the 906th Air Refueling Squadron selected the following members as Outstanding Airman of the Year (OAY) for 2012.

Master Sgt. Shawn Wright was selected as the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for the 906 ARS. Master Sgt. Wright is the Flightline Production Superintendent for the 906th and received this award in part for his involvement with short-notice deployments, his commitment to the mission, and being entrenched throughout the local community and squadron.

Tech. Sgt. David Carrillo was selected as the Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for the 906 ARS. Tech. Sgt. Carrillo is an electro-environmental systems craftsman with the 906th and received this award in part for identifying an emergency situation and taking appropriate action saving nearly $40 million in potential damage. Tech. Sgt. Carrillo also has been involved with frequent deployments offering experience beyond his years and supports his local community through various volunteer efforts.

Airman 1st Class Jared Callaham was selected as the Airman of the Year for the 906 ARS. Airman 1st Class Callaham is metals technology apprentice with the 906th and received this award in part for his creativity and talents in redesigning and fabricating systems to save money and increase safety, his dedication to learning and excellence, and his commitment to the local community through Habitat for Humanity efforts.
