An Illinois Air National Guard airman here has been selected to receive the 2016 Information Dominance Award in the Air Force Outstanding Cyber Operations - Non-Commissioned Officer Category.

Staff Sgt. Jason A. Patton, a Systems Administrator with the 126th Communications Flight, recently received the announcement that he was selected for this award.

The annual award recognizes U.S. Air Force military members, federal civilian employees, teams and units for sustained superior performance while providing information dominance and cyberspace operations to Air Force and DoD missions and operations.

During the time period covered for the award, Patton led the 126th Air Refueling Wing and the 906th Air Refueling Squadron Local Registration Authority program.  He issued 112 secure internet tokens to support the Nuclear Operation Readiness Inspection and ensured members had secure network availability for the mission.  Patton designed and implemented continuity of operations that allowed resilient operations for $20 million in command, control, communication and computer assets.
