Col Joshua L. Hendrix

Colonel Hendrix is Commander, 126th Maintenance Group, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. As Commander, he is the senior logistics officer responsible for aircraft maintenance for an Illinois Air National Guard Wing of 9 KC-135R aircraft. This Wing executes Air Mobility Command's worldwide mobility operations, including both air refueling and airlift missions that support the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Pacific Command. The Wing also incorporates over 200 Total Force Integrated Activity Duty personnel attached to the 906th Air Refueling Squadron, and supports a wide range of conventional and nuclear plans.

Colonel Hendrix began his military career in 1985 and served five years as an enlisted Security Forces member. He was selected for commissioning in 1990. Colonel Hendrix deployed in December 2003 and served as the 363d Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Flight Commander in support of Operation Southern Watch enforcing the southern Iraq "No Fly/ No Drive Zone".

In 2007 and 2010 he deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, where he served as the 455th C-130 Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Unit commander and was responsible for the forward deployment of C-130 maintenance activities at Bagram. He has served in many capacities throughout his career including Expeditionary Maintenance Group Commander, Wing Operations Center. He has participated in broad missions such as Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, missions that support NATO, the Theater Security Package for the Pacific Command, and Illinois State Active Duty.
