A Polish F-16 receives fuel from a 126th Air Refueling Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, KC-135 Stratotanker, over the Republic of Poland, during Aviation Detachment Rotation 21-3, Aug. 11, 2021. The Illinois National Guard and the Polish military have been partners under the National Guard Bureau’s State Partnership Program since 1993, helping Poland emerge from the Warsaw Pact to become a member of NATO and one of the United States’ staunchest allies.
