KC-135R Aeromedical Evacuation Amperage Testing
A High Deck Loading Platform (HDLP) vehicle raises up to an Illinois Air National Guard KC-135R Stratotanker cargo door at Scott AFB, Ill. The 126th Air Refueling Wing aircraft was used by the Air Mobility Command Aeromedical Evacuation section to test amperage draw of medical equipment used during patient movement. Successful completion of the test could allow for up to two more critical care patients to be flown on the plane during medical airlift missions.
