KC-135R Aeromedical Evacuation Amperage Testing

A High Deck Loading Platform (HDLP) vehicle raises up to an Illinois Air National Guard KC-135R Stratotanker cargo door at Scott AFB, Ill. The 126th Air Refueling Wing aircraft was used by the Air Mobility Command Aeromedical Evacuation section to test amperage draw of medical equipment used during patient movement. Successful completion of the test could allow for up to two more critical care patients to be flown on the plane during medical airlift missions. Heritage Park Recieves New Tenants

A Case IH STX480HD tractor is used to tow a KC-135E Stratotanker onto concrete display pads for the aricrafts new residence at Scott Field Heritage Park. This aircraft is the third of five planes to be on display for the local community. The 126th Air Refueling Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, refurbished the plane for static display and assisted in moving it to its new location.

Each year, the Director of Operations and Assistant Adjutant General for Air for the IL ANG, review each IL ANG unit’s flight safety record to include sorties flown, mishap rate, and contribution/improvements to safety.
