Colonel Jeannette A. Moore

Colonel Jeanette “Jen” A. Moore is Commander, 126th Operations Group, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.  As Commander she serves as the senior officer responsible for all flying operations and crews in a wing of eight primary assigned KC-135R aircraft. The group executes worldwide air refueling and airlift operations, supports a wide range of conventional and nuclear plans, as well as Homeland Defense and Civil Support missions.

Col Moore earned her commission in May 1998 through the USAF Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Notre Dame, Detachment 225. She began her military career as a part time Assistant Executive Officer with the 932nd Airlift Wing, Scott Air Force Base. She later joined the 126th Air Refueling Wing and completed pilot training class 03-01 at Columbus Air Force Base. Colonel Moore deployed for several operations with the Illinois Air National Guard including Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Freedom’s Sentinel, and Noble Eagle. She transitioned to the Individual Mobilization Augmentee reserve category in 2016 with an assignment to the Nuclear Operations Division, Headquarters, Air Mobility Command. She subsequently served as the Nuclear Operations and Plans Branch Chief at AMC, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. In 2021, Jen transitioned back to the Air National Guard to work as the Guard Advisor to the Air Mobility Command Inspector General where she provided coordination and support to the AMC and National Guard Bureau (NGB) Inspector Generals and acted as a direct functional liaison between AMC and NGB on behalf of 39 AMC Air National Guard units. 

Col Moore is a Command Pilot with over 1500 military flying hours. She has been employed since 2000 in a variety of engineering positions in the St. Louis area.
